After you have created a vizconnect configuration file, you can run any Vizard application on the VizMove system by importing that file into the application script. It is recommended you keep a master copy for each vizconnect file in a location where it won't be accidentally overwritten or modified. This is especially important for:
Walking VR The preset option for Walking VR works out of the box. It's configured for 6DoF head and hand tracking, renders to the Oculus display with a mirrored window on the desktop monitor, and supports navigation using wand controls. Follow the instructions below to create a config file:
Projection VR As mentioned above, the preset option for Projection VR must be customized with system specific information. The preset is configured for 6DoF head and hand tracking, skews the rendered images so the projections looks correct from the perspective of the tracked user (see images below), and supports navigation using wand controls. The following images demonstrate how the user's position in the CAVE affects the projection matrices. Image A and C are representations of the user in two different positions in the CAVE. Images B and D show the corresponding output to the front wall. The images will only look correct from the perspective of the tracked user. |
