Tracking Quality

Tracking quality can be examined using the 3D view and marker data pane:

• Check to see the marker in the 3D view moves smoothly without jumps

• Right click in the 3D view and select Markers > History. Verify the history trail is unbroken and smooth (no oscillations)

• Verify the marker in the 3D view does not flash to black. This indicates that less than two cameras see the light and tracking is temporarily lost

• Marker ID swaps only occur briefly when markers overlap in close proximity

• When the marker is stationary the change in marker position should be at most 0.001 on one axis in the marker data window

These tests should be performed with each tracking component (e.g. PPT Eyes, PPT Wand, other Marker ID etc.)
